My First UN
For me it was a very long process. I had been admiring the unique styling of UN and the Perpetual Calendar that I saw in advertisements in Airports, Magazines and Newspapers for years. I finally had the opportunity to examine the majority of the UN collection up-close at an AD. I was impressed with the look and feel of UN and in particular the Perpetual Calendar and the Sonata. I liked the hands and those unique "pushers" - the marvelous chime of the Sonata and the sophistication of the Perpetual Calendar. I knew it would be a difficult choice between the two. This was back in 2008 and the Sonata Silicium had just been announced. I thought long and hard and decided to wait until I had the opportunity to see the Sonata Silicium in person before making a decision. That took another year but I’m glad I waited. I have worn this watch at least 5 days a week for over a year and I am still just as impressed with it as the day I received it.. Here is a picture of it today. Unfortunately you can't capture the true look of this watch in a photograph - you have to go see one for yourself.

But Freak and Diavolo are no "doubles" ....
