Certified Chronometer issue
Hi,
The answer lies in the fact that the Limited Edition GMT Perpetual models (both platinum & 18k RG) are all certified by the COSC, and this is noted on the dial with the word "Chronometer", and the watches come with a full rating certificate from the COSC with matching movement serial number.
The standard issue non limited watch movements were not submitted to the COSC for rating. From my perspective, the standard issue movements seem to run as well as the Limited Edition models.

I've observed that some dials on the GMT Perpetual indicate 'Chronograph' while others do not. What is the difference? Have they changed the movements?

Thanks to all of you who responded. I assumed that UN cheaped out on a $40K because both movements are the same calibre.
