I'll post some pics of the movement when I get one of those rubber balls to remove the case back. Any tips on photography...I have an Olympus C4000 and I have always had some difficulties with close up shots and lighting. Any help from Forum members would be appreciated

Hello All...I have attached a few pics of my 1966 UN chronograph with a Valjoux 72 manual wind movement. I bought the watch in the late 90s in Nuremburg when on a business trip from a second hand watch dealer in the old part of the city. At the time, he t...
Great looking watch!

Haven't seen a UN like this before. Is there some sort of reference/model number?
No reference number that I know of but...

when I contacted UN after I bought the watch I gave them the serial number which was engraved on the case between the lugs. They were able to tell me the watch had the valjoux 72 movement and it was manufactured in 1966. I sure would like to know more abo...
Thanks Nicolas...you have a beauty there!

The case on your JL looks very similar with the exception of your diver bezel. I sure hope someone on the forum may be able to provide more information on mine....maybe Marcus et all can help. Your watch is a beauty as well...nothing nicer than a great vi...

This is a lovely sporty Chrono from Jaeger ( not JLC, by the way, as no 4 ATM came from JLC nor from Lecoultre ). There were some Diving Chronos, too, which look very close to the 4 ATM, but with a black dial, and larger lugs. I don't have the production ...
I absolutely love it!! ...

... my my, this is a great-looking chronograph! Unfortunately,I have never seen a similar one before, especially not with that two-tone dial. While the movement itself is not specifically rare, UN aleways had the reputation to apply a first-rate finish to...

I have always enjoyed this watch and it holds a special place in my rather modest collection. I have been to a few NAWCC regional shows here in the US recently and I have had a few dealers when they spotted this one on my wrist, wanted to buy it on the sp...

An oldie but goodie for sure! You're a lucky man. Let's see how it looks on your wrist.
Absolutely stunning execution from UN of the Valjoux 72

In as much as it is very similar to a Rolex from the same vintage, it almost certainly has to be much rarer, and for my part, putting current values aside, a much more desirable vintage piece to have in one's collection. Congrats acquiring that gem! Love ...

Lighting is key...usually a lot of trial and error!
By: Tim Jackson : February 13th, 2010-14:07
That is the huge benefit of digital photography, the trial and error period is often long! I can't imagine the rolls of film ( & associated developing costs) I would burned through getting the practice & some of the images I now have!!!! One thing to try ...
a lovely looking piece. a true vintage UN

i have no idea what it is worth, but i would think that this makes a Daytona of the same period grossly overpriced unless there is something about the Daytona i know nothing about. personally i think i would rather have this elegant understated piece. wel...
