Walking The Central Coast, Part 1 of 2
Aug 08, 2022,22:21 PM
Our family invited us to Central California Coast this weekend. We stayed in the Kaleidoscope Inn, happily occupying the Lover's Nest on the second floor, left.
After a light breakfast we went out to the garden
see some local sights. We didn't expect fairy mushrooms underneath
these enormous trees that frame the garden (also used for weddings).
We ambled down the road where we found a goat who obviously thinks he's a horse and these are his parents (Steve Martin in The Jerk comes to mind)
We came upon the Lane Adobe house, which was hosting Re-enactment Day -- well you can see by the photos what that involved.
On the way back I spotted this nice classic touring car, in stereotypical condition and position.
These two horses were flicking flies of each others' faces.
We saw a few wildflowers too.
And a multitude of rabbits.
I've heard of dishonest politicians, of course, but the Mayor's Place BBQ Shack takes the award for outright crookedness.
We heard an old guy blowing an old tune on an old horn.
and heard some young fellas singing their hearts out.
The sign on this gate said "Stay out! No Hunting in the Tunnel". So we did.
Heading for the car, we saw the appropriate end of Part 1.
