.... sorry, I had no dictionary at hand. I meant the blank cartridges made from plastic, filled with a little gunpowder, that only make "bang"!.
All the nice extras later added to the StG 77 were never handed to us, except the replacement barrel with the integrated bipod, that made it a lMG (not "s" - "s" means "schwer", that would be a heavy machine gun, like the upgraded version of the MG42 we were using).
