Actually I should not have taken such a close up image of the second sculpture. The magic in that piece is that with very little ‘detail’ on the face itself (as is apparent in the close up), from a distance (across a room) there is a tremendous amount of emotion in the face – we obviously take in only a few key points when viewing a face and the artist has captured these.
