im afraid that the LMS in not road registrable

however there is a 'in between' version that sits between the regular R8 and the FIA GT class LMS that can be road registered.

the R8 GT. it is produced in limited numbers on order only, 333pcs to be exact.
current production is about 266 and running out fast.

the R8 GT for road is a "superlight" version of the standard R8 and can be ordered with a roll cage, fire extinguisher system etc.
the bodypanels on the road legal R8 GT are all Carbon fiber or CFRP. even the backshells of the seats can be CF specified on demand.
the engine gets the full lambo 560hp (detuned to 525hp in regullar R8, detuned to ~500 in the LMS by FIA after scrutinizing and homologation).

this car is BTO (built to order) Audi Exclusive so you can have just about anything in any combination you want on it.
officially the 0-62mph is 3.6sec....but that is the manufacturer being conservative always if you know Audi.

100kg lighter than standard car and you still have your A/C and B&O system.......the bank account should be very light also after order LOL!

The Audi Customer Sport GT manager from the Factory asked if i wanted to buy one (298,000+Euro). then he said preferably ...... needed to find 17 other friends to buy one too. that way Audi would start as race series in Asia for all of us to race the car ...

He certainly know how to cross sell and upsell.
