i have a Robert Johnson CD which came with a peter green anthology. the
original man behind Fleetwood mac who as you know were really a blues band for
the first few years.
i'm currently listening to Tim Rose who, in his own right, is virtually
unheard of, but everyone knows his version of 'Hey Joe' that was effectively
stolen by Jimi Hendrix. Rose is a superb blues musician who never found fame in
the US, his home country, but was fully appreciated in the UK by the fairly
small number of blues officionado's.
the BBC have just has a series of programmes on the blues called 'blues on
the BBC' as it shows all the blues musicians who have appeared on the BBC over
the years. very good to watch.
all i can say is 'boom boom boom boom'.
