I will get a DSLR as soon as I can and this is definitely in the specification and price point I am looking for. Previously I was checking out the D300s so I'll have to compare the two spec wise. Thanks for the post!

Hello Adamska, I currently use the D300s with the new 28-300 (just got the lens last week, awesome lens!) and like it very much. The D7000 is the D90 replacement and the specs are really impressive. Are you a Nikon guy or Canon? -MW

D300s was recommended to me a few months ago by a professional photographer in the price range I told him I am searching in. Initially I liked the D90 very much but when he told be about the D300s I checked it out online and really loved the specification...

But it takes such good pictures, it's hard to justify the cost of something like this.

It's always nice to have the latest and greatest gadget but if the D70 is working out, IMO there's no need to upgrade. BTW, supposedly next year (I doubt the end of this year as some have speculated) they'll release a FX replacement and/or Nikon 'Evil' ca... 

I do a lot of people shots in low light situations and prefer to have flash minimal. It's why I bought a multi-purpose lens with a low f-stop (2.8) I have a 50mm 1.4 Nikkor, but doesn't do as well as I would have liked. Your advice is solid, so I think I ... 

Hopefully they announce a replacement for the D700 soon, it'll probably be what you need for high ISO. We'll have to talk cameras at the next L.A. GTG! -MW

You see your dream tool being anounced, you test it , you compare it then you decide to get it and the next day the successor is there.... It never stops, last time you compared the different classes of products, the DSLRs were not able to film, today all... 

I think true 3D will come with crisp holographic displays. The public in the U.S. is already starting to cool to the current technology. More the fact that bad films are being made using it, but even still...
