Any cyclists in the house?
I don’t mean electric nor gasoline-powered, I mean the person-powered, pedal versions. I had a chance today to go back and visit my buddy JB who is a hard rider AND even better painter of bicycles.
Joe and I worked together in a Schwinn bike shop back in uh, um, hmm, let’s just say the “not-so-recent past (late Nineteen Seventies). Owner Bill Holland went on to become a great frame builder.
Like many great craftsmen, Joe has a backlog of work awaiting!
He showed me some details on his new Rivendell commute-to-work bike (flat pedals, upright bars, low gears). Nicely detailed lugs, tubes, even the pump (lower tube shown here)

Some beautiful bikes pictured here. That shot of the Sachs with the PegoRichie tubing makes my heart sing. Never owned one of Richard’s amazing creations, but I’ve been blessed to own a few of Dario’s bikes over the years. Thanks for sharing these!
