and i'd say theres around 25,000 irish supporters still in the pubs in downtown auckland drinking guiness or kilkenny , it was the best atmosphere ive ever encountered at eden park. I think the locals here bought irish tops just to put the piss up the aussies.

awesome game by the irish that has now put the wallabies on a collision course with the springboks in the quarter finals and then the ABs in the semis , completely changed the tournament perhaps. Nico you got your upset!!!! regards darma

But the All Blacks are uber alles, IMO, and I think we won't have any surprise with them, unless an excellent French Team meets them. But the French will have to be Divine, if they want to win against the ABs... Every good Rugby WC needs its lot of surpri...

and i suspect there may well be a few more surprises yet. Next weeks game with the froggies will be huge but this result with the irish tonight may mean a northern vs southern hemisphere final now, like you said the tournament needed this sort of result. ...
Over Australia?
Wow! I'm a neutral.. ok, a bit more to the all blacks due to the magoc of Jonah Lamu quite a while back but Ireland over Australia is a fantastic result for a neutral.

What an upset! Grats to the boys in green. I'm truly happy for them. And as I always say, I support only two teams, the ABs, and ANY other team playing against Australia.

Congrats to Ireland on their win....
I've been watching bits and pieces of the tournament on satellite. next up for Ireland is Samoa or Wales. Should be good! -MW
