We can't predict what we'll see on our walks

We did some driving today, looking for a space to start walking. I'll start with the "cars" that we saw, such as this 1956 Chevy 210 (base) wagon, err which seems to have mated with a 4x4 with dualies in the back.

It appears the dualies came from a Chevy truck, which is a nice touch.

Call him if you want it.

As I once said "We can't predict what we'll see on our walks"

This nice clean Ford pickup is more my style than a Mexican T-Rex skeleton.

What? I've never seen months used as street names!

Looking totally out of place in this 50-60's neighborhood, may I present the Cybertruck.

This vintage "Business Coupe" is more like it,

and in the same driveway, the Definitely NonCyberTruck

I wouldn't push this patina special out of my driveway, but of all the trucks and cars we saw,

I liked this one best.

A few days ago we walked in Tecolote Canyon and seeing the big houses on the hill, someone made a comment "Do they have a great view from up there on the rim?"

This is what it looks like at ground level staring down the canyon. I've never been on the rim because it is mostly blocked by homes. So we cruised around a bit trying to find an entrance to the rim.

Matija Poppies were amazing!

Here we go, view from high on the Western rim of Tecolote Canyon. The Map:

The photos

Looking North on Tecolote Canyon.

Looking South over the golf course.

A hummingbird buzzed us (I was wearing yellow, my wife orange) as if we were flowers. I swung the camera up into the air and got him flying away.

Long range photos

Mrs C says it's too steep and there are too many weeds for her to come down, and I need to come back up.

Too bad I can't focus on my watch.

like I can on plants

and on birds and bees and butterflies

Wow! Summer's almost gone, time to head for home.

Modern home

Up the street, not so modern.

What kind of tree is this? Cauliflower??

Thanks for walking with us today.
