Two hours and one minute according to IMDb

I read Marvel comics as a young man but not these. The narrative was not hard to follow although there were a lot of characters thrown at the audience in the first few minutes. The theme was the trumping of greed and hunger for power by love and duty, not a very original or complex matter, although that it occurred in one person, Drax, among other instantiations boosted the interest.. The value of the film was its esthetics, handsome people and handsome special effects, and its warmth and good humor.

I was happy to see it in IMAX 3D. I very much appreciated the big screen and fine resolution. The 3D was not bad, not attention grabbing, and not annoying; it also seemed not necessary.

I watched it over the weekend, IMO the 3D effect was awesome and they had some hilarious lines in the movie. Did anyone here see it? Watcha think? Comic book fans did you recognize the dog and or the duck? -MW...

about where the origins of this movie came from... then again..we have not been ontop of the movie or superhero scene... bunch of boys wanted to see it..and many parents took them...with my two girls..no go..
