Early morning; short walk

Stepping quietly around the house, before Mrs. C is awake, but the light is starting to come in the windows.

Grab a watch that's already running; time and date are OK

Electricity check -- it still works.

Look in on the icon collection.

Switch on the kettle.

Check the bathroom, all's well in here.

I grab the loaf from yesterday.

Oops, my coordination control center is not yet fully synchronized with my arm.

Back yard looks ok.

Citrus coming along, probably more lemons than will ever be used :-(

My wife is up now, and decides to join me for tea and toast and a hard-boiled egg.

The light hits the colored glass shelf.

I wander to the Library and see the Schoolhouse clock is a bit slow; I need to set that ahead and check that the moonphase is correct (undoubtedly I will forget).

I must read another book next week (just finished CS Lewis Space Trilogy for the 3rd time in 50 years).

I can smell the toast is ready in the breakfast room.

I take a bite of toast then put out some bird seed. They are on it in a minute or two -- the  Junko is first.

This one looks very young.

Fresh leaves across the canyon -- these were bare sticks a week ago.

Halfway through breakfast and we put the kettle back on.

The sun breaks through the mist and lights up the jade plant in the front driveway,

and comes through the window onto the orchids.

The clocks are ticking (mechanical and quartz alike)

More birds are arriving.

The blue jay hops down the wall for his morning 6-8 flakes of oatmeal.

The stained glass panels are doing their morning show as the light strikes them directly between sunrise and 9 am.

Only about an hour more of this until afternoon when the other side of the house lights up.

Thanks for making the rounds with me this morning.
