10D/9N to Baltic Sea - Embarking from Copenhagen

I always wanted to visit the Northern Scandinavian countries so this cruise was just the perfect itinerary.

Cruise started from Copenhagen (Denmark), to Warnemunde (Germany), Tallinn (Estonia), Saint Petersburg 2 days (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), Nynashamn (Sweden) and back to Copenhagen.

This is my 8th cruise and I like cruises because it saves me trouble of renting a car, driving too much, plus many roads are much narrower in certain places and you can't take too much luggage with you.

I had driven around Germany, Prague, Vienna for 2+ weeks in a trip 2 years ago and I'm fine with it too.

With a cruise, best part is no worries on finding places to stay or possible car accidents, parking, packing and unpacking etc. Ideal for scouting many countries in one go, and if you like a certain place, just visit it in future.

Some may be wary of such a huge floating hotel with 4000+ guest and 1500+ crews but it's got it's fun....next time I will try the smaller cruise ships.

Weather is awesome, no rain in all 10 days, can't complain.

Too many photos so I selected few highlights and will post in subsequent thread under this for other cities.

Hope you will enjoy these photo journey....Stay tuned for next Port of call.

Denmark is famous for these open face sandwiches.

Marble Church

Palace in Copenhagen

Great architecture

We purists will always visit watch shops and quite surprised to see a Patek Philippe 5930G, 5235G and A Lange Sohne RL PLM on display. Also tried this Breguet Classique grand feu but felt it's a little big at 40mm.

Anyways, this trip is not for watches so I wasn't prepared to bring home any.

The famous Nyhavn

Also the famous Little Mermaid

Her watch needs sun screen lotion too smile
