TAG Heuer

Yes, really.

At least that's what I'm told by ADs, TAG Heuer USA and the manufacture.

As for the stainless steel version in my post, it is powered by the Heuer 01 which is an updated version of the 1887.

I was lucky to get one of the Indy 500 versions, #26 from an LE of 100 pieces. I was surfing the internet one day and found the announcement on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway web site before an official announcement from the brand. I was able to get my name on the list early (there was one left after mine!) Before TAG Heuer could ever do an official press release, they were already sold out.

Sure, I have several more "hi-end" watches in my collection, but I'm excited about adding more Heuer 01s. It's an absolute dream to wear and certainly a formidable timepiece for the price. Hopefully next I will add the "Grey Phantom," Titanium Carrera Heuer 01. I tried one on at Baselworld and...WOW!

Final thoughts? There is nothing "entry level" about the Carrera Heuer 01. Sure the brand has entry level and high-end watches, but the Carrera Heuer 01 REALLY hits a sweet spot, somewhere right in the middle.
