I'm not exactly an "expert" but here's my opinion....

I think TAG Heure is losing some charme, also because of weird ads all around, therefore many icons are disappearing (like the grand-carrera) - marketing misteries and sales numebrs for sure.

My opinion is that the one you're considering is a very nice one and very classy, different from the too sporty TAGs out there today. See, I was waiting for the CH80, and is the only one they decided not to produce because it would cannibalize the sales of the CALIBRE 18. Soooo, If I had to chose a TAG, I'd go for a vintage, black, plain and elegant one (with chrono as yours), I think it's a good choice! (maybe can also grow in value since, still my opinion, TAGs on the mkt right now don't look like they will become icons)....Up to you now...

cheers

Clean and classic IMO...

I really like the design. It's timeless and epitomizes the essence of the classic Carreras. I was thinking this model was 39mm which, for me, would make it a bit more formidable. In any case, it's got a solid movement. The Calibre 17 I believe is a beefed...

I prefer the 1964 re-edition

I believe ref CS3113 has a black dial with silver rings (but no date window), a plain Heuer shield logo, Lemania manual wind movement. Hurry though, price is creeping up.
