Wow, that’s something new for me to see.

 

I do love the base watch, I own a bunch of GS from that period.  


But here, the specific watch you highlight is really appealing because of the aging on the dial.  And of course because of the history and provenance.  

But really, we like the things because of how they look and or what they do.  So for this watch the appeal is strong based on the aged dial.  The other examples, cleaner examples, are not as enticing.  

I still believe vintage GS from this time are really cool little watches.  Interesting cases, lots of angles that are not really repeated by other brands.  But VFA and then this “super VFA” are the pinnacle.
