The Credor line lands at the Seiko Center of Paris

Today, I had the opportunity to see two Credor watches at the Seiko Center of Paris. As you know, Credor is the high-end brand of Seiko which is made up of 5 collections: Masterpiece, Node, Nodej, Juri and Signo.

The two watches I saw today belong to the Node collection.

First one is the Big Calendar (in fact a big date watch) powered by the 7R87 Spring-Drive caliber. Case diameter is 37,5mm and its thickness 9,7mm. Weight is 80g. The finishings are flawless (both dial or caliber sides) but I found the overall design of the watch too cold. It is a frequent remark I underline each time I see a Credor watch and I had the same feeling again.

I had an explanation about the 2,4,7 figures which are the only ones displayed on the dial. In fact they symbolize the perpetual time: 24 hours / 7 days. I was happy to learn this because I had this question in my mind for a very long time !

Second one is a pure mechanical watch which houses the famous HW thin caliber from the past: the 6870. Figures are here more discrete. You will notice the use of a PG bezel while the other bodies of the case are made of stainless steel. Thanks to the use of the 6870, the case thickness is 5,5mm with a 37,4mm diameter. The watch is very light: 41g.

Between two watches, my vote goes to the second one: thanks to its PG bezel, its nice dial, the Node Mechanical has a warmer design which makes it more attractive. Sadly, it has a solid caseback. I would have prefered to be able to see the caliber. Despite this regret, I found it elegant on my wrist.

Thanks a lot to the staff of the Seiko Center of Paris.

It is good to know that Seiko brands are expanding their reach and people around the world can see, touch and feel. I am with you about the coldness of today's Credor line. Today, Credor is more design oriented, thinner the better, kinda concept while GS ...

Thanks FX.............

The answer to your question is..............What kind I say but SIMPLE! What a great way to add some uniqueness to a dial. Love the square looking crown on the 2nd piece, but my choice would have to lay with the first one.

Will you be featuring watches fm the masterpiece n signo range?

as you touched on a very senstive subject on their pieces they seem or feel COLD.... excuse me to say this " emotions do appear on watches thats if the project was started with an emotional spark ...BUT if its the other way around you cant finish a piece ...
