Roaming along the River, with GS
I chose this GS automatic for today's wearing & walking episode. A bright golden shaft of sunlight was coming through our living room window and illuminating my watch.

We stayed on the South side of the San Diego River today. We have been walking mostly on the North side for the last 2 weeks, past that group of palm trees in the distance.
I was stunned to see a guy walking up out of the water with a clam tube (I think). It's not THAT WARM -- is it?
Actually when I checked, the air was in the 50's and the surf temperature was nearly 70 degrees (20 Celsius). Amazing! That's very warm for us, any time of year.

I checked the time, thinking I must be mistaken and it's really midday.

I suppose you can tell I didn't bring the big camera today. I've learned my lesson and will carry it on future trips. There are two white pelicans and some herons or storks out there, along with seagulls and cormorants.

I like looking for patterns, and here I think I can see the angle of the sun over the horizon is indicated on the bridge footings...

We walked across - first time for either of us. Ocean is out there to the West, about 1 mile.

An osprey watched us go northwards

Having made it safely, we went under the bridge to the East side.

Time to turn around. Notice the small bump on the middle of the light pole below?

The same bird flew across the bridge and watched us come back.

I guess the life of these sea birds is sitting around waiting to spot their next meal.

Much like retired (or locked-down) people do unless motivated to do otherwise. So get your Seiko on!
Cheers,
