Seiko

More seaside feeling with the Grand Seiko SBGR305 β±οΈβš–οΈπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

While I am a huge fan of the former double logo setup used by Grand Seiko for many decades, I have to say I was smitten by the watch that brought about the rebranding to Grand Seiko only (with no Seiko on the dial anymore) - the SGBR305.

The titanium case zaratsu polished was perhaps not a new concept but the case itself was new. As was the movement, even if little used subsequently. The larger date wheel was new. And the blizzard dial, while not new, was at least a classic GS element.

I didn’t manage to bag one straight when they came out but some years later I managed to get one in NOS shape.

Always a pleasure and one of those typical GS GADA watches, allowing a very wide use range depending on straps used.

What are you going into the second part of the week with?

Watch by Seiko, SBGR305, Heritage Collection, Grand Seiko
