I just have to share with you this amazing watch. Grand Seiko SBGD201. It’s a lot of money for a watch but also a lot of watch for the money.

It is beautifully finished. It is heavy as it’s platinum. It is unbelievably accurate. It is smooth. Here are some photos. It has what is called a “Diamond Dust” dial that has a bit of sparkle in the light. It’s hard to capture but I tried. It is a “simple” time only watch and although it’s larger at 43 mm due to the three barrels and 192 (8 days!) of power reserve, it remains elegant. The case is entirely polished. It makes a statement without being flashy.

This watch comes from the “Micro Artist Studio” of Seiko where the Credor Eichi II, Minute Repeater and Grande Sonnerie are made.

Hope you enjoy the photos. They’re not great photos but you’ll get the idea. Have a great weekend everyone!

...

If it would not be for the 43mm, I have been multiple times tempted to go for it and make it the one watch...

enjoy it. You are right the spring drive is one precise movement! Very hard to beat...

Big hunk of platinum. Must be heavy.

Does it take many winds to reach the full 8 days of power reserve?

I tried this piece and love it...

but if this is 38mm and without the spring drive wording, it will be my grail piece.
