My wife forwarded me an article from Apple News. The headline was: Why Seiko 5 Is the Biggest Cheat Code in Affordable Watches Which of course as I am an old fart (an elderly non-gamer), I didn't know exactly what they meant, but I did not like the connot...

However if you buy his recommended textbook, or the suggested calculator, or Excel from Microsoft, or if you use Google Sheets, or if you read math articles using Acrobat Reader, he will get a commission. Hmmm. Don't like it.

+1, there are obvious examples also in academia, and probably anywhere else...Not good! ;-)

My only book to date has been a research monograph for the Amer. Math. Society, which is not that uncommon when your contributions are mainly viewed as research (plus, I wouldn't have the patience nor probably the skills to write an undergrad textbook any...
