Is it a screw down crown? I suspect not, just curious as I still don't have a gmt.

No, no screw down crown but still a reasonable 10 bar W.R. The watch's bezel and case profile kind of reminds of your cool Doxa !

And like you say, a watch reminding us of different times - in a good way! Maybe I do need to visit the local Seiko dealer after all 🤞🏻

Different times indeed -- this model's design is from Seiko's archives and is a dead ringer for Seiko's first GMT with rotating bezel that was introduced in 1968.

Two Olympic chronographs and a world timer. Lost all three 🤷🏻‍♂️ And luckily this is a well executed one - some of their reimagining of the past has been hit and miss lately 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not very familiar with vintage Seikos, but this Worldtimer does look quite nice image from the web ...  

The only Seiko Nico would consider 😂👍🏻
