i feel like seiko is taking the piss with that name. birch trees have white bark. they are not black, they are not dark. ok, a birch might look dark at night, but so does everything else. i just feel they are making fun of rheir customers with a name like this, and that kind of bugs me.
the watch itself is absolutely beautiful tho.

Congrats on this series 9 GS! They really step it up with this series and the case design is just amazing with these (based on my SLGA007). Also amazing picture as this dial is super hard to capture!

I like this watch a lot. The availability of the new movement with a titanium case and bracelet is a great combination. The dial has a lot of visual interest and high legibility without being overpowering with the texture.
