Today, I have come into the Grand Seiko fold. The deposit is down, and now I\'m letting go of a watch and getting myself organised for pick up in March. Watch this space!
Brilliant! :)

Will you keep it a surprise or will you share which reference you went for? Here\'s my SBGH035 saying hi ...
Great :)

Looking forward to seeing what you went for. Am confident that you\'ll enjoy the brand a lot - understated but so easily getting under your skin
Exactly

It got under my skin a while ago, it was just a matter of \'which one?\' And now the price/value ratio of my Swiss watches makes me cringe! In certain ways. We\'ll see how I go in the near future!
Inducing second thoughts about Swiss (and German!) watches . . .

. . . as a value proposition is precisely what Grand Seiko is about. Some folks, once having discovered their intrinsic value and innate beauty, continue along the same path, expanding their GS collections. Others (myself included) are satisfied with an e...
Very interesting point of view/topic.

Since I've only been here for a bit more than 2 years I don't know if there has been real discussion about comparing the watches from the three countries. If there hasn't perhaps we should delve into it. PuristS is a perfect Forum for it-no ties to any br...
Absolutely!

Thanks for sharing.

You are getting me poisoned! It\'s good that there is no grand seiko AD near where I live.
That should not be an impediment ;)

Regular visits to the Seiko section of PuristSPro will help for a start and we will happily recommend, where they can be sourced once you\'re ready
Good for you.....

I\'m really excited about it!
Another one bites the dust!

Welcome to the club! I'm sure you will enjoy your GS watch. Cazalea PS - a recently re-discovered photo of my first GS, dated Thurs, Dec 2, 2004. ...
Nice!

How man GS do you have?
About a dozen, currently
By: cazalea : January 8th, 2017-07:52
I guess I need to do a State of the Collection photo. Cazalea
Now that is a collection!

These are all great watches, but I have some favorites. The 44GS is a watch I really love (although I have never tried it one) but I suspect that if I was able to get my hands one one that would be the perfect dress watch for me at any price point. I find...
These are the watches in the picture:
