Yes, this is one to haunt....

 

i have found and lost this watch on several occasions. The first time was when a NOS black version with full papers and box became available to me at a tremendous price. I was silly. I tried to buy it cheaper and the seller showed to another person and they paid 10% more than it was shown to me to start with!! It was my lesson...

yet, it seemed my lesson was to continue as again and again i have been on teh verge of buying this enigmatic watch. That is what it is. It is like the Mona Lisa. It is hardly a beautiful watch, but it has this alluring beauty all the same.

After losing 3 or so perfect versions of this watch, i was offered a beautiful white dial, but it was the black dial i loved. The white dial though was also virtually perfect. And then i realised, the 1019 is playing with me. It is a watch i have not owned and i now view it as one that i will always admire but not own.

 

Good luck Nicolas. I love buying watches in pairs...a vintage and a modern. Will be a superb pair.
