The nice thing about this AK..

Is that one needs to give it time before it unveils itself. It almost looks bland at certain angles. But only through a bit of wrist time will it give you access to its other facets. Like how that wg Arabic can sparkle depending on the light.

I’d really like to know how they came up with this design, the creative spark so to speak. Most watches in the line up you know what you’re getting, what you’re buying. You buy a sub, you know what you’re getting, why you’re buying. Same with a GMT or a Dayto. The AK is almost in the spirit of the Milgauss probably. Nico’s right.. probably some young guns a la sex pistols in Rolex closed the doors, partied, partook or inhaled “something” and came out with this

it was almost a throw of the dice for me in spite of the photos and the reviews and the ownership impressions. You ever find yourself in a situation where the choices were obvious and yet you don’t know why you pulled the trigger on something altogether different? It was that for me. For a few bucks more I could’ve probably gotten a GV. And I really love that one as well. But here I am, with an AK. Weird.

This is probably what I love about watches. I’m probably always looking for that particular elixir that will make me crazy, break the piggy bank, and get in a frenzied state to get one.

So now I’m thinking.. what will be my next Air King
