It wears & looks totally different from the bracelet and I'm quite pleased to have given it a go. I may try a normal strap in a similiar leather next. F

I would take the same leather Nato, exactly the same, but in a lighter color, to closer match with the dial. But that is the idea, for sure. Bravo! Nicolas.

I have found a guy who handmakes them for me in his spare time. I may try some other styles soon. He told me today that he just got some new leather which is ideal for vintage Rolex etc. I'll check it out soon. F

And ask for a thin one, it will be more comfortable, and the watch won't sit too high on the wrist. If you can get a thin Leather Nato strap, like this one, it would be your favourite, without doubt. You will have the comfort and the look. Best, Nicolas.

Yes this one is very comfortable and the watch sits well. Threading it through the springbars already causes parts of it to wear off as it scrapes the side ie. some discoloration but still looks alright. Any thicker , there would be a problem I think. If ...

Hopefully with time it will fade a little. Not much colour options on the leather as finding the right type is not easy. The stitching colour however, can be specified. Thanks for the compliment Davo

Specially the raw edge of the strap, without the colour touch up,, gives it the brilliant vintage look suitable to your watch. IMO it can only get better with use, the edge will loose it's bright white tone

Once it loses its newness, it should look even better like you said. I'm looking forward to that
