Rolex and Patek

I also love Rolex and Patek watches. I own both and alternate between them. Some days I may be in the mood to wear my WG PP 5036, and the very next day slip on the Daytona or the Datejust. Both companies make excellent timepieces. Some may argue that the finish on a Patek is superior to a Rolex, and viewed from a certain perspective that may be true. But Rolex has its own charms...They are rugged, dependable, and I never get tired of looking at the ones I own. I frankly think that many people who claim to dislike Rolexes are motivated by something other than an objective consideration of the watch. People tend to be emotional about Rolexes, the way some people become emotional and condenscending toward very succesful neighbors or relatives; perhaps there is an element of jealous or resentment involved, I am not sure. Regardless, there is no conflict at all between Patek and Rolex. Life is short; enjoy your fine watches!
