all what you find in your GMT is 99.9% state of the art technology (swiss lever mechanical watchmaking wise), silicone,ceramics etc are nice trials and may or may not help to make mechanical watches more accurate and reliable but their main role to get attention(marketing) .Any 5digit Rolex with a 3135mvnt ,sapphire crystal and oyster bracelet ticks all the boxes of a standard a modern watch,
But Rolex and all the other watch companies are profit oriented organizations if no new customers no more profit so basically they all try to sell the same in a new package again, again and again...
Be happy with your acquisition it s one of the last hero of the golden age!
