The bezel insert is the original one from 1967. Inserts from 1999 (the year of dial replacement) are very different. If I had known anything about the value of original parts by 1999, I would have kept the original dial, hands, and crown. I spoke very recently with the AD that originally serviced the watch, but they do not remember anything after 21 years. I am sure that they asked me what I wanted to do with the original dial and I am also pretty sure that I just left it there. I donβt want to change anything right now, any βcorrectβ dial (matte, meters first) would be a replacement too and the current one has its own history in the end. Besides, itβs not a priority right now.
