I was walking to my parking spot under the morning sun..
And while stealing glances at the SD, I noticed 2 things. While I would have preferred an aluminium bezel, the pop of the markers on that silky black ceramic bezel was undeniable. On to the 2nd thing, the overall pop was heightened by another pop coming from the small red line of text. It’s quite easy to dismiss really but under bright sunlight the red comes out to playown. I guess the gloss on the paint is doing its job 🙂

Yes, that red writing on the dial is cool.👍
I still think that the SD Anniversary is a very well offering for people who want a Rolex diver with more presence on the wrist: big but not massive.
True Count. The sub has always been on my radar..
But whenever I wear this and see the red line, I’m imagining how the dial would look like without it and I get this feeling that it might get boring. And there is something special about the well engineered heft on the wrist.. As you said, not too massive...
I would only consider the SD. I like the red pop the same way
The red Seamaster logo pops…it’s a great design element…I prefer the ceramic bezel on Rolex…one of their best!
