I bought the last of this model from the AD with a significant discount. They wanted to make room in the display case for the newly released SD 43 and the SD 4000 was considered a dog. How times have changed!

This is the best modern Rolex hands down
And I feel that with time, it will be remembered as such more and more. I have also heard from a trusted vintage Rolex watchmaker that in his opinion it is the best Rolex movement ever made.

Why do you think the 3135 is more reliable than the 3235? I've honestly never heard any complaints regarding the new calibers.

You may not have. I’d say, ask RSC, trusted watchmakers (true patina on IG - Greg) etc. Or even your SA at your AD how many have come back with issues. Haha

The date window is not close enough to the edge of the case, IWC get beaten up all the time about it and without the cyclops it looks worse.
