Best Submariner, given all the choices
Given the Rolex Submariner’s classic, timeless design — for someone who has never owned one (but has other Rolex, including Deepsea) — and under current market conditions — what’s the best Sub for the money right now?
Again, given it’s classic and consistent look, it does not need to be vintage or new — but I do like to feel my watch in terms of weight/presence, if possible — but not the main focus here.
As mentioned, goal here is best for money (NOT AS AN INVESTMENT) right now given releases over the years to choose from, which I feel is a good thing for someone looking.

I know--you asked for a Submariner and I gave you a Sea-Dweller! But that ref, the 16600, is currently cheaper than any Submariner reference while being better than most of them.
