As an aside:
I have heard many claims as to the elapsed time bezel, with various manufacturers claiming the first.
Can anyone find the first appearance of this feature?

Was it the Fifthy Fathoms or the Submariner in 1953 ??? Nobody can give my sure informations about that. So please give me the answer. Jason Spring
They were both "in production" in 1953, though the Submariner wasn't
