Rolex

Hi all, I have recently purchased a 1978 gold Datejust from a Burlington Arcade retailer in London. Thwatch looks immaculate and performs as a chronometer should. However, after it has stopped and I move it about as though it was on the wrist it works for... 

The problem seems to be the rotor does not wind the movement properly. Any ideas?

I had the same issue (noise, not charging) with an "U" series Submariner. The oscillating weight axle was worn (lack of maintenance/oiling) and the weight was touching the movement / case. Got replacement parts and, after a complete cleaning by my watchma...
