Advice: Pam243 or Rolex 16600?
Dear purists and friends,
My next acquisition is in sight and would very much appreciate your thoughts on the following pieces:
- pam 243, tritium dial (apparently being discontinued, can somebody confirm this?)
- rolex 16600, tritium dial
Let me put the situation in context:
Naturally, Rolex being the best, I would like to complement my collection with a sd but a big bad Pam is extremely tempting. What do you think?
Finally, what alternatives would you suggest for £4k?

.....other than about a dozen of their watches, I do think it is a fashion watch. As Vlad says, there are only 4 aces....the rest are fashion statements. Now, don't misunderstand me, sometimes it is fun to wear a fashion watch and Panerai do that well.......

Last year I bought two Pam's 312 & 233.........
As I believed that they would make great daily beaters, what with the huge variety of straps. But I have to admit, that I soon fell out of love with them and ended up selling them both. I strongly believe that you get more for your money with a Rolex.
