You'll likely appreciate that the Pepsi GMT was recently polled as one of the top 40 fashion icons of all time. The only other watch to make the list was the Casio G Shock. [nt]
The blro really belongs with the all time greats because of things like this. It is both an iconic watch design and an iconic object somewhat removed from it's original intent.
And to add that the Jean Jacket is the number 2 all time fashion icon

Interesting to see that Chuck Taylors were ranked higher or at all above Jordans are Jordans changed the game and pop culture in general...
Sneakerheads and anyoje who collections sneakers of ANY kind knows that Jordans are the grails, not Chuck Taylors. This list is subjective at best. YMMV 🤦♂️
Fair point. The list is the result of a survey conducted on 2000 Americans. Nike Air Max are on it, Gucci loafers and sliders, crocs and Louboutin red pumps.
Also UGG boots, Vans and Birkenstocks. Interesting results but a lot of the stuff is not the trendsetter or game changer stuff for collectability like Jordans. There are many staples on there. So it is not so much grail stuff that people think of when que...

Based on the definition of iconic, nothing comes close to the Jordans in terms of cultural change, brand history, sales, etc... Before Jordans, there were ZERO sneakerheads (collectors). Basically, the Jordans are the Rolex Paul Newmans of the shoe game. ...
I understand your position but the survey asks people, not just collector afficianados. It's an interesting point but the Chuck Taylor has no real imitators and didn't spur copies, although there are a few I'm sure.
