Also, the luster of the platinum, and the color of the dial and bezel (in person) make it irresistible. Honestly, I don't think there is another piece quite like it.

The White Gold Meteorite Dial... Colder, but very exciting and tempting. Now, in gold, it has some serious weight. I can't imagine how heavy it must be in platinum! Best, Nicolas

And not for a fight compare because both Daytona and nautilus are marvelous ...

and definitely has the weight to match. When wearing that platinum piece you can definitely tell you've got something on your wrist. Although pretty heavy, I don't mind the heftiness but the price? That too, is hefty! Aloha, Bob

sometimes I forget which watch I have on ( under sleeve) .... but not with the Platona.

I am loving this one. It's been a very long time since I got a watch that is not vintage, but somehow this seems to have an almost vintage look or quality to it because of the warm brown bezel and sub dials. In a sense, at a quick glance, the Daytona layo... 

because it subdues the tachymeter scale, which I rarely if ever use - not so the chrono!
