quality is there with these two models as there is with the more complicated pricey ones. I generally prefer simpler watches and that may or may not be because of my lack of experience as a collector and lack of knowledge of the technical marvels

Perhaps the numbers look similar to you,
But as someone who has handled all of the watches in question, I can tell you that the 3/10 and the 4/8 do not look or wear even remotely similarly in size. The 4/8 is MUCH bigger and has the extra screws in the case.
