Richard Mille in Tokyo 2011 - Charity Party "Dear Family"
I was fortunately invited by the boutique to the RM party 2011 - Charity Party "Dear Family". As you may know, RM has already done the event once by auctioning the prototype of the new RM035 and this was the second attempt. The party itself is the annual event, but this year the agenda is "charity" for "dear family". It is very touching, and lots of fun. On behalf of Japanese watch lovers, I thank RM for this event and its ambassadors (or "RM Family" as M. Mille calls them) who generously offered wonderful items, and those who won them.

See all the chairs are RM...

The back of this menu was the "paddle" for the auction held after the dinner.

Mr. Richard Mille

Encouraging messages from the "RM Family" or Ambassadors;

He was in Japan for the F1 Grand Prix this week, but couldn't make it for obvious reasons. "They" have their event

Table setting.

Mr. Mille's speech:
He said he was so saddened by the disaster and he considers Japan as his family. He also mentioned an interesting plan - Now the model number is almost using up 30s, but next is in 50s - as in 051 by Michelle Yeoh. He skipped 40s because "4" means bad thing (the same pronunciation as "death") in Japan. He knows a lot about Japan.
Wow!
From Rafael Nadal;

Wow again!

After the long fight....

Posing for PuristSPro - 027 on his wrist.

=======================================
Now, are you ready? There is a phrase like "a million dollar view", but here is more like "THREE million dollar view". Take a deep breath. This, YOU DO NOT SEE EVERYDAY.
SIX (6) 027s!
Mr. Mille, Mr. Nadal, and FOUR Japanese 027 owners (out of five allocated to Japan).
Hope you enjoyed the report.
Thanks for reading.
Special thanks goes to Mr. Richard Mille, Ambassadors, all the staff of Richard Mille, especially Richard Mille Japan (Thank you, Shigeta-san!) for this generous and wonderful event. Guests had lots of fun.
Ken
