[A racing machine on the wrist at the racing track: the limited edition RM030 Le Mans Classic: British racing green with white bezels. Eye catching!]
The bi-annual festival of past Le Mans racing was again upon the Circuit du Sarthe in the west of France. The weather was variable, but this did not stop the enthusiasm and racing to the limit. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I admire individuals who are willing to push their racing machines to the limit when so much time has passed since their past glories! A time for the old gladiators to enter the ring once more, and battle around the circuit that was once their domain.
From Bentley in the 1920’s
Jaguar in the 1950’s
And the dominance of Porsche after 1970 (and immortalized in a movie with the same name: Le Mans):
A time to drop in on friends:
Sharing tales of the track
More to come later:
