I'm feeling very ambivalent about your remarks, Steve...

... on the one hand, I completely agree. RM should be about carbon fibre base plates, new case materials, exciting new designs, clever complications. Where's our 8-day Richard Mille, flyback rattrapante, double split? (All done before but I mean all in one, of course ) What's  Richard's answer to JLC's Lab, on high-tech lubricants? Waddayamean another annual flyback with some extra subdials? Every new release should scale new heights, the sky is the limit and price no object, with the exception of an RM005 or 010 so that mere mortals can enjoy the brand, or exalted connoisseurs can sample the feel before they sink a King's ransom into something completely unbeknownst to them.

That said, I look at pictures of the RM011 that does have a couple of things going for it, not to mention the ability to revoke the touch and feel of the brand and everything that's been built up around it in so short a time, and my heart melts. Steve, how could you say such nasty things about the noble eleven? Shame on you!!
