You know what I love my 28. Yes it doesnt seem that popular in relation to other RM models, but I think it is the most interesting design. Its a watch that you have to 'soak' up the details on. Count the star screws holding the bezel to the case, feel the beautiful quality feel as you turn the divers bezel.
The synergy between case & watch is great, a polished line under the bezel, the brushed Ti, the infills in the case etc, the way the strap carries the line of the case....its just a far more interesting designed case than the tonneau ones to me. I love the way it actually has a winder that looks like part of the watch design, rather than a 'tagged on' afterthought, which I think some of the other watches are guitly of. Love the 'shoulders' that finish the lines off to the winder & case..its funny but an Rm25 looks really bare without them to me.
Movement floats lovely in the case, just enough transparency to look through and admire the movement...
I have just been wearing mine for a couple of weeks in the sun, I love it as a beach holiday watch, everytime I go away, straight on with the 28.
Wears really well too....
You might of guessed, yep I am a big fan of the 28....enjoy yours, its a great choice, just soak up the details of the whole package, I really do think its the most interesting RM design case & strap wise.
