Go for the 37
Personally, WR, I reckon the RM037 is a better deal. Okay, with the bigger case (7mm higher and 3mm wider) it wears a little bigger but ladies are wearing bigger and bigger watches anyway. The big date is a nice feature and the date quick-adjust is very practical for ladies who may not wear it every day Having the pusher function selector basically makes it a more robust watch with almost zero risk of crown/stem problems. You might not get a diamond-set one within your budget, but I'd definitely try to have a look at one anyway.

My suggestion would be either WG or RG
If her wedding band is rose gold, then get the RG watch. If wedding band is white gold or platinum, then get the WG. Cheers, Anthony
If you're wife is petite, I'd get the RM07
if she's not, then maybe the RM037 or the RM07. I personally like the dial of the RM07 better because it's more clean so I would choose the RM07. Cheers, Anthony
