All fair questions. Generally, for the RM056, I would say no.
In a previous string, one of our forum members described the RM056 as a masterpiece: to show technical and aesthetic skill, and to show you can do something at the extreme. And that is what it is. Is there a world market for 5 RM056 watches - yes - they all sold. Is it durable and suitable for everyday wear - probably not. Such a case would not react well to other surfaces and 'dings'.
Is the RM050 the more wearable versions - yes - very much so and was created as still limited, but wearable for the everyday.
Both are superlative watches, both different.

Wouldn't this infringe on the Cartier patent on movement plates?
I seem to recall they have patented the design of having the movement plates be the design of the dial ... but a review of US Patent D614050 shows virtually no claim. Hmmm
Not sure what to make of that - I think there would be a number
of watch firms in trouble on that one and not sure it is enforceable? Unless there is some proprietary process for fixing the movement plate as the dial. Would have to see the patent. Interesting point though! Andrew H

Watch doesn't look bad by any means it is just not to my taste, however, the hands are somewhat disappointing...
The hands are the standard hands that Richard uses on
his high-end tourbillon. True Alexander McQueen was also a big user of skulls on the designs. But nothing new there: artists/designers for centuries have had skulls around. Andrew H

And yes, Riccardo had some of the show stoppers this year at SIHH. I can think only of Greubel Forsey who offered something extraoridnary. Quite a "quiet" show with very few truly new things. Hats off for Riccardo!!!
