A small tidbit about the RM 009 and RM 007

I am not into teaser sports, but just want to give you the information I can as I am allowed to, so here goes:

A couple of days ago I was in Switzerland and able to talk about the RM 009 design details with the team and learn more about it. At this moment it is really still under construction, and a number of the exact details are just being codified. Although it is proceeding quickly, this is part of why RM wants to wait a little longer. As I mentioned previously, it will be made in only 25 pieces instead of 30 as was originally announced.

What I can tell you is that the goal, (I repeat: the goal !!!)- is to create a tourbillon with a case and complete movement (without strap and clasp) weighing in at around 30 grams total.

This is the technique of sublime lightness, and is therefore full of exquisite challenges. Most are solved, but there are a few to go....

I was able to see the ladies RM 007 case, and it is a beauty. An elegant RM that will really appeal to those women who prefer a more feminine look. The case shape is the same tonneau form we all know, but the width is clearly much sleeker than the standard RM, and the proportions lighter. More in the springtime.
