well done sir, i have put my 35-01 on the same red strap, and i think it look awesome, particularly with spring / summer around the corner....
had mine on black rubber for 5 months before the change, which also looked and felt great....
as for the carbon case, i think its pretty durable, though i've been careful with mine not to ding it much at all...
enjoy, as i am sure you will.....i absolutely love mine, and have been selling lots of my other pieces as the RM 35-01 has made most of the rest of my collection redundant....

I can't take this one off the wrist. I love looking at the movement without a dial--just captures my attention every time. Perfect RM with red strap and don't ever think I'll use black or extra gray I bought.
