I would like to share and get some more insight into a vintage Piaget I own, the Reference 12427. This is an elegant 18-karat yellow gold automatic dress watch, which I believe dates back to the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Details of the Piece:

• Brand/Reference: Piaget, Ref. 12427.

• Case and Design: 18k Yellow Gold. The case is cushion-shaped, and the bezel features the iconic Clous de Paris engraving.

• Movement: Automatic (It likely houses one of Piaget’s famous ultra-thin calibers, such as those from the 12P series, giving it a very slim profile).

• Dial: Gold with a Sunburst brushed finish.
